My Adoption

I am adopted. No not physically, but spiritually I am. God is my adopted Father. Just like any father he made sacrifices to show me how much He loves me. This Easter (or Resurrection as we call it in our family) is a reminder of that sacrifice.

Jesus died for me to pay the price for my sins. He took my place. By His grace I am saved. He fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah 53.

Isaiah 53: 6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Not only did He die but He rose again! He conquered death. Something we could never do.

Matthew 28:5-7 The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified.  He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: ‘He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.’ Now I have told you.”

May we all remember His triumph over death and the great sacrifice that He made for us, not only on this Easter, but everyday.
