When our placement failed in May it was a very dark time for our family. We spent a lot of time together working on the emotion of loss. We have had faith in God that He would help us through this.

One day we were in the car and Mac (3 1/2 years old) asked me where our baby was. I told him that the expectant mom decided to have the baby stay with her. We had talked about this before a couple of times but this time he seemed to understand it more. His response was very surprising. He said we just have to wait for God to give us a baby.

I was so proud of my boy that day. He really understood what was going on and that God is the one who puts families together.

We are happy to say that God has not made us wait long this time and we have been matched with another expectant mom. I truly thought we were going to wait at least a year again and was making my peace with it. We are so thankful that this expectant mom has picked us to be her baby’s family. Mac will be so happy to have little brother later this year.

Psalm 27:13 I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.
